Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey to combat sports at teenager age. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling before she made her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and went on a 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in each fight. Aspen returned to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian before going on to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia dominated Aspen to defeat her in a unanimous decision, putting an ominous mark on her records as an amateur. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent bout against Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to make her debut as a professional. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the first round by TKO. Her next bout was a win with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to knock down McGill with a TKO during the third round (elbows and punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. Aspen fought Hoy in a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd didn't weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in 2nd round via TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final bout with the club. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a unanimity. The debut of Aspen Ladd's UFC debut took place in UFC Fight Night 118 when she took on Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina by using her ground and pound techniques, resulting in a TKO 2nd round win. The next time she fought Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd took the win at the start of round one, and received the Performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first fight she's ever had in any significant capacity. Both fighters fought one of the most competitive fights that Ladd won by unanimous decision. The two fighters each received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd after 16 seconds, breaking the streak of winning. After a short break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya of the UFC in their ESPN 7 third-round fight. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She was beaten by a unanimous vote.
